Art students from St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic High School in Aurora created a Remembrance Day art installation to represent and commemorate all of the fallen soldiers who have lost their lives in war. The installation was inspired by the Canadian Tomb of the Unknown Soldier which is located in front of the National War Memorial in Confederation Square in Ottawa.
The art students, known as MAX ART, take great pride each year in creating an installation for Remembrance Day each year. Their goal is to raise awareness and understanding to new generation of youth about the sacrifices of our Canadian Forces. Decades have passed since World War I, World War II, and the Korean War, but the sacrifices made by thousands should never be forgotten.
This Remembrance Day art installation will be on display at the school from November 7th – 14th.
