The York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) welcomes new students for the 2017-2018 school year. Registrations for students entering elementary school (JK – Grade 8) will be accepted throughout the summer months commencing July 5, 2017 at the Board’s Head Office located at 320 Bloomington West, Aurora, ON, L4G 0M1. All YCDSB elementary schools will be closed from June 30th to August 25th.
The Admissions Department will accept registrations for JK – Grade 8, Mondays to Thursdays, from July 5th to August 24th, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Parents/Guardians will need to bring the following documentation to register their child/children:
- Roman Catholic Baptismal Certificate (for child or parent)
- Proof of Age
- Proof of Status in Canada
- Proof of Residency (2 documents)
- Proof of English Separate School Support, such as a property tax bill or MPAC Property Assessment Notice (school support forms will be provided, if necessary)
Children born in 2013 are eligible for Junior Kindergarten, while children born in 2012 are eligible for Senior Kindergarten. More information about the YCDSB’s Kindergarten Program.
Registrations for secondary students during the summer will take place at local Catholic high schools, starting Monday, August 21, 2017.

Elementary school classes will begin on Tuesday, September 5, 2017. Secondary school classes begin Wednesday, September 6, 2017. An Orientation Day for all Grade 9 students transitioning into high school and Grade 7 students at Our Lady of the Lake CCS will be held on Tuesday, September 5, 2017.
