Wouldn’t we all like to enjoy the comfort of our pyjamas a little while longer? Well students and staff at St. Monica CES had a chance to do that…for a good cause.
St. Monica’s Luke 4:18 Group organized a “Pyjama Day” in November. Staff and students donated a Toonie for the privilege to where their Pyjamas to school for the day! All funds raised will be donated to support the building of a new expansion for the Markham Stouffville Hospital (MSH) to help accommodate the growing Markham community.
The school raised a grand total of $614 for the MSH expansion project.
“Our school initiative not only raises much needed funds for our Hospital, but also demonstrates our community’s strong belief in the Hospitals’ programs and services,” said Principal Jennie Dixon. “Together with Markham Stouffville Hospital, we will help ensure better health today for a stronger community tomorrow.”
