Qualifications
To run for the office of trustee for the York Catholic District School Board, a candidate must be:
Term of Office
The term of office is four years, beginning on December 1 after the election. The term of office for a person filling a vacancy is the remainder of the term for that office.
Nominations
Nomination papers may be filed on nomination day, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the office of your local municipal clerk. Nomination papers may also be filed on any day prior to nomination day during a regular election year at a time when the municipal clerk's office is open, commencing on January 4.
How to be Nominated:
The municipal clerk will certify or reject your nomination paper. You may be required to show proof of your identity and qualifications prior to certification.
