Community Use of School : Permit Process

Welcome to the YCDSB e-permit system.

2012-2013

Community Use of Schools will be accepting Permit Applications for the 2012-2013 school year as of January 1st, 2012.

Seasonal permits for the 2012-2013 year may begin the week of September 17th, 2012 and will end no later than the week of June 10, 2013. Weekend permits may begin September 22, 2012 and end no later than June 15, 2013.

The DEADLINE for RENEWAL Permit Applications is January 31, 2012. To qualify as a renewal application all data regarding space and times must remain the same as noted on your 2011-2012 school permit. Renewal applications should include the following: Customer number, postal code and the permit number of your existing school year permit. With the exception of “Start and End” dates, which will change from year to year, much of the pertinent data will be automatically populated on the renewal application form. Complete all remaining sections of the permit application and Submit. If you have successfully completed your renewal application form, you will receive an APPLICATION NUMBER, please keep a record of this number for future reference.

The 2012-2013 “Gym Availability” link will not be populated until after the renewal deadline date of January 31, 2012.

Once your application has been approved, you will be contacted for payment. Until further notification, fees charged under the MOE grant remain as per 2011-2012.

Please refer to the Community Use of Schools Calendar for dates available for permit.

Weekend permit holders should note the restricted availability during long weekends and weekends falling within the Christmas and March school breaks. If a special permit application is approved for these periods, MoE Grant rates will not apply.

Cancellation of any weekend use must be submitted in writing to the Permit Department two (2) weeks prior to the cancelled date. Failure to comply with the required cancellation notice will result in fees levied at the full rate, MoE Grant Rates will not apply.

Frequent non-use of permitted space will result in permit cancellation.

Reminder to all Applicants

    • The rules established by the York Catholic District School Board (as posted in the Community Use of Schools Policy 703) must be adhered to at all times.
    • Person noted as ‘in charge’ must be present at all times.
    • A copy of your permit must be with you at all times.
    • Review terms and conditions of the Grant Declaration.
