
As Chief Executive Officer and Secretary of the Board, the Director of Education is responsible for leading the school system by building a sense of community and shared vision among the many partners in Catholic education - students, parents, teachers and staff.
The Director is responsible for the overall administration, supervision and management of the school system, including administrating Board and Ministry of Education policies & programs and promoting effective administrative organization and practice.
Through Trustee Services, the Director's Office maintains positive, professional relationships with trustees, by conducting trustee liaison and orientation, Board meeting agenda preparation and other business related to the Board of Trustees.
Through the Communications Department, the Director's Office ensures effective communication with all partners in Catholic education, including parents, students, teachers, staff, government, clergy and the community.
Through the Employee Relations Department, the Director's Office ensures that all of the Board's employees, including teachers, administrators and support staff, work in a respectful work environment where provincial laws and collective agreements between the Board and its trade unions are applied fairly and consistently.
