Dear St. Peter’s CES Staff, Parents/Guardians,.
Thank you to everyone for your continued patience and understanding over the past month. I know you share my appreciation to the staff and students of St. Francis of Assisi and Immaculate Conception for everything they are doing to make us welcome in their communities. I am very pleased with the way we have settled into our routines
I now have an update on the repairs of our school, St. Peter’s. As you know, the tornado caused some major damage to the roof of the building when it tore off several of the ventilation units. New units have been ordered, but they cannot be delivered until October 9th. They will require two weeks for installation and retrofits. During this time, the Board will also be bringing in consultants to conduct environmental and air quality testing – to ensure our school is 100% safe prior to re-occupancy.
Students and staff will return to regular classes at St. Peter’s on Tuesday, November 10th. Movers will return classroom supplies to our school on the weekend prior to Monday, November 9th (which is already a scheduled PA Day – with no classes)..
We will be inviting members of our Catholic School Council to tour the school prior to re-occupancy.
I know we are all looking forward to the opportunity to return to St. Peter’s on November 10th.
Thank you once again.
Sincerely,
Jo-Ann Dawson
Principal
