Two student made videos shortlisted in OCSTA’s video competition

UPDATE: On December 9, 2015 OCSTA announced that the video from St. Anne was the first place winner in the Elementary Panel, and the video from St. Michael the Archangel was the third place winner. Congratulations again!

The York Catholic District School Board congratulates St. Michael the Archangel CES in Woodbridge and St. Anne CES in Richmond Hill, for making OCSTA’s “Living the Gospel” shortlist in its annual video competition.

OCSTA (Ontario Catholic School Trustees’ Association) received numerous short video submissions from students at Catholic schools across Ontario for its 2015 “Living the Gospel” short video competition. A total of 21 videos made the association’s shortlist, including the below entries from York Catholic students. Well done!

Student Government members, Tommy, Aidan, Luca P., Luca C. and Joseph at St. Michael the Archangel CES created the video called “Living the Gospel.”


At St. Anne CES, Grade 8 students, Sofia. Sophia, Sarah, Katherine, Caroline, Kristina and Anna made a video called, “Don’t be the Rain to Someone’s Flame.”


OCSTA will announce the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners, from both the elementary and secondary panels, in the coming weeks.
