Award-winning YA Author speaks with St. Elizabeth students

This fall, award-winning Young Adult author, Teresa Toten, visited St. Elizabeth Catholic High Schoolin Thornhill and spoke with students about the creative writing.

The “Author Talk” was with over a hundred St. Elizabeth students who enjoyed asking Toten questions about her work and the writing process. Toten’s talk focused on overcoming your fears in life, finding your creative process, mental health issues, and belonging. Students took away Toten’s powerful message about the importance of perseverance. Following the “Author Talk” students had copies of their books autographed by the author and they were able to informally chat with Toten. One lucky student was given a copy of her latest book.

St. Elizabeth CHS thanks Teresa Toten for sharing her experience and skills with its students.
