The ISA (Intensive Support and Assessment) students from Our Lady of Grace CES in Aurora recently created a video about their experiences of having a learning disability and getting support through the YCDSB’s ISA program.
In their video, the students talk about their various learning disabilities and struggles that they have. They also show that they are regular students who have many strengths and talents that they use every day to overcome their disabilities.
The video also shows the differentiated learning instruction that the students are receiving in the ISA program. The students express their feelings about how the ISA program has helped them and what they love about their ISA class.
The students presented the video at the Board’s SEAC meeting and were also acknowledged and thanked for their work by the LDAYR.
