Contest celebrated Italian Heritage Month
Congratulations to students from St. Gregory the Great CA who participated in the annual Centro Scuola Literary Contest in June at Columbus Centre in Toronto as part of La Festa della Lingua Italiana, The Festival of The Italian Language, which highlighted Italian Heritage Month.
This year’s theme was, “Leonardo da Vinci … What would the world be like without his inventions or creations”? Students were asked to compose a written piece in Italian accompanied by a visual component. They excelled in presenting a wide range of creative content inspired by Maestro da Vinci, winning a combined $1,750 in cash prizes.
Students of the International Languages program at St. Gregory the Great CA, along with their International Language Teacher, Signora Cipolletta, attended the festivities and enjoyed an amazing year-end picnic to celebrate.
