Every year, the York Catholic District School Board selects six alumni from its secondary schools and pays tribute to them through its Distinguished Alumni Campaign. The campaign runs in conjunction with the Board’s celebration of Catholic Education Week, which is held in the first full week of May.
The alumni selected for this campaign are chosen because they are making valuable and unique contributions in their respective careers and communities. Highlighting York Catholic graduates who have met a high level of success promotes the significant contributions that the York Catholic District School Board, and by extension, Catholic education, makes to the community, province and country.
Selection of the candidates are based on the following criteria:
- All candidates must have completed high school at a York Catholic school
- Made valuable and unique contributions in their respective careers, industries or communities, reflecting Catholic Values
- Possess a minimum of two years work experience in their field.
