Learning and Failing and Succeeding: Rube Goldberg device

Mrs. Brand’s grade 10 Technological Design class was challenged to design and make a working Rube Goldberg device that progressed through 8 different actions with the final action turning on the light switch.

Students had to design, iterate, re-design until their concept worked. What a great opportunity to build resilience and to achieve success by failing and trying again.

Ethan DeFina – St. John’s Ambulance Award

On December 13, 2018, Ethan DeFina, our very own Carter grade 11 student, received the prestigious St. John’s Ambulance Award at York Regional Police Headquarters. Breakfast of Champions: Celebrating Students and Catholic Character
