When:
October 11, 2022 all day
2022-10-11T00:00:00-04:00
2022-10-12T00:00:00-04:00

We sign ourselves in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.  Amen.

Yesterday was World Mental Health Day.  This year’s theme is:  “Make Mental Health & Well-Being for All a Global Priority.”  On this day all are encouraged to reflect on positive ways we take care of our own mental health and how we can  provide support to others too.

Today is the Feast of Saint John XXIII.  Saint John XXIII was named a saint on April 27, 2014.  He was the Pope who opened Vatican Council II in 1962.   This was an important event that made many changes in the way that Roman Catholics practice their faith.  Saint John XXIII CES is in Unionville.

Yesterday was also Thanksgiving.

Let us take time today to think about the wonderful gifts that our compassionate God has given us: After each line, let us say, “We Give Thanks”

For autumn trees turning gold and red,  Response: “We Give Thanks”
For animals preparing for their winter rest, Response: “We Give Thanks”
For life-giving rain and bright sunshine, Response: “We Give Thanks”
For the moon and the stars and the sun, Response: “We Give Thanks”
For our lives which you gave us, Response: “We Give Thanks”
For the freshwater we have so plentifully, Response: “We Give Thanks”

Loving God, may we always be thankful to you, and to our parents, classmates, and teachers.  Amen.

Let us close with the Hail Mary.
Hail Mary
Full of grace,
The Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women
and Blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners now
and at the hour of our death. Amen.

In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
