McGivney Danced, Acted, Drew and Sang their ARTS out!

The Arts are alive and well here at F.M.M.!  This past week (February 20 to 23rd), McGivney staff and students celebrated the Arts by enjoying a variety of performances and participating in student-led hands on arts-based activities.

Our days began and ended with fun arts themed music and meaningful prayers inspired by the gifts God gives us as artists.  On Tuesday F.M.M.’s dance club (F.M.M. Motion) performed a great routine and encouraged students to dance their “arts” out during their lunches.  Our McGivney Visual Artists not only demonstrated how they create their masterpieces Wednesday, they gave all students the opportunity to put their artistic skills to use.  Drama students led a series of drama games for all in the drama room on Thursday and our Gold- winning Wind Ensemble Music students caped things off with performances on Friday and a popular Karaoke session during lunches.

Thank you to all our talented arts students, and especially our teachers, Ms. Ellis, Ms. Nagy, Ms. Ubelarte, Ms. Walsh and Ms. Zawadzka for taking the time to help us celebrate our inner-artists!  We hope our prayers and activities this week inspire you to take one of the many art courses offered at McGivney.

Ms. Gilmore, Department Head of Arts
