Welcome Back!

Dear Parent/Guardians,

Another terrific year is about to begin here at Good Shepherd CES. On Thursday September 19, we will be holding our Open House and this year we will also hold a barbecue to welcome everyone back and welcome new families.

The first day of school is Tuesday September 3, 2019. The bell rings at 9:00 am. On the first day of school, students will gather near the entry doors outside the yard. Kindergarten students are to go to the fenced in kindergarten play area. Teachers will come out a few minutes before the bell and will gather their students and bring them inside. There will be numbers by the doors to assist all mew students as to where to gather.  If it rains, students from grades 1-8 will gather in the gym. Kindergarten students will come in the front doors and go to the kindergarten classes where staff will place them in the correct room.  A reminder that we have students with severe allergies to nuts, tree nuts, coconut, kiwi, sesame seeds, and shellfish, so we ask that you please do not send in any foods that contain or may contain these ingredients. We ask that you check your child’s bus route, drop off and pick up times to ensure all is in order. This can be done by accessing www.schoolbuscity.com. If there are any concerns, please contact the school.

A prayer for the new year.

Lord give me the grace to do the best in all my studies.

Through all things I learn,

May I come to know and love you better

Rather than my own profit,

May your honor and glory and the service of others

Be the motive that inspires me.

Give me a love of the truth,

Perseverance in difficulties,

Modesty in success

and cheerfulness in failure.

Amen.

We all look forward to seeing everyone back September 3rd.
