Our efforts extend beyond academic success to include emotional well-being and spiritual growth, recognizing that each aspect is vital to a student\u2019s overall development. Through dedicated staff, tailored supports, and caring school communities, we work diligently to ensure that all students are empowered to thrive and reach their full potential.<\/p>\n<h5><b>Student Health &amp; Wellness\u00a0<\/b> \u00a0 \u00a0<\/h5>\n<p>International student health insurance coverage is provided by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.studyinsured.com\/ycdsb\">StudyInsured\u2122<\/a>. The International Department coordinates enrolment of health care coverage for international students, and the cost for this <a href=\"https:\/\/ie.ycdsb.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Comprehensive-Plan-Study-Insured.pdf\">insurance program<\/a> is included in annual fees.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>As of September 2025, we will expand our partnership with StudyInsured\u2122\u00a0 to include flexible, comprehensive support for individuals navigating mental health challenges such as stress, anxiety, and external pressures. Access to fully qualified counselors is available 24\/7 in over 100 languages, can be accessed through video chat or instant messaging via the app, and is confidential and private.<\/p>\n<p>YCDSB\u2019s Mental Health Department is also instrumental in providing valuable resources to students who struggle. Their <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/16NKiLVVrAEMZhT2a0MJ-pckk8aTLk6gflrG5LlXkZeE\/edit?tab=t.0#heading=h.wnxjudv6pnfi\">Mental Health Resources<\/a> list is comprehensive and frequently updated.<\/p>\n<p>In all of our schools, Administrators are committed to supporting students in their academic and personal growth. They are available to listen, guide, and help students navigate challenges that may arise throughout the school year. In our high schools, students also have access to dedicated Guidance Counsellors who offer academic advice, course selection assistance, and pathways planning to help each student reach their post-secondary goals.
