The students and staff of St. John XXIII CES surprised me with an amazing Good Bye Assembly where they presented beautiful songs, poems, retirement survival kits, cards, #1 Principal Crown, flowers, and more. The show was wonderful and many of us where fighting back the tears.
Mme Hodara’s original song and dance was a show stopper as was Mme Mok’s “Goodbye, Farewell” song. Mrs. Christidis and Mrs. Marsalas’ kindergarten students performed a ‘wonderful’ song while Mrs. Fuda and Mme Roselen created a rap which had us all clapping along. Mrs. Burdi and Mrs. Kassar’s Retirement Survival Kits will have me busy for the next few years. Mrs. McCrindle’s class gave a great movie clip, card and beautiful flowers. Mrs. Notorfonzo’s class sang a song, and presented me with the #1 Principal Crown as well as a card and oragami flowers. Mrs. Lau, Mrs. Sassone and Mr. Yu’s classes all spoke from their heart and presented beautiful cards.
All in all it was a fantastic event which some parents surpised me by attending!
