Tomorrow is World Water Day! World Water Day is an annual United Nations observance day that highlights the importance of freshwater. The day is used to advocate for the sustainable management of freshwater resources. Please refer to the attachments for further information.
The date itself has been selected for very clever reasons; it is held on the 21st day of the 3rd month, which is a hat-tip to the uniqueness of the triplication of the 21st chromosome which leads to Down syndrome. We invite everyone to wear brightly colored socks, long socks, printed socks, different socks…you decide!
The Egg Farmers Rocks & Rings program presented by Curling Canada visited LOC for a full school day. They took over the gym as classes took turns visiting for 40 minute sessions of fun and instruction. Unique indoor floor curling equipment was used to provide a true curling experience without requiring ice!
