A poppy is a symbol of peace and remembrance. On Friday, November 9th our Gr. 6 and 5/6 classes will lead our school in a Peace Chain at 10:45 a.m. All staff and students will line the hallways of our school to form a peace chain and we will honour veterans who have given their lives as well as those who continue to work towards making our world a safe and peaceful place. Everyone will stand together for a moment of silence, prayers and reflections. Before the prayer service on Remembrance Day, students will be given a poppy to wear proudly over their hearts. Donations for the poppies are most welcome. All parents and family members are invited to attend.
