Anti-Bullying Initiatives

On Wednesday, April 12 we celebrated the International Day of Pink. It is a day when communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop all forms of bullying. The staff regularly work on teaching our students about what bullying means and how they can work to put an end to it. This is done through our Second Steps Program, the Virtue of the Month, our Spirit of Ubuntu, as part of Religious and Health education lessons, in discussions on recess choices and whenever situations arise that provide a “teachable moment” on the subject. On Thursday we hope that everyone will wear pink shirts to show their support of ending bullying and to celebrate diversity and unity.
