Starting Thursday, November 7, our ECO Team will be bringing back Trashless Thursdays to minimize waste in our school. Remember to send your child’s lunch and snacks in reusable containers. All garbage (e.g., wrappers, baggies) will be sent home in your child’s lunch bag. Food waste and recyclables will be disposed of as per usual.
The St. Brendan Compass Chorus is once again getting ready to perform at the Music Scholarship Concert held at Stouffville District Secondary School. Thursday, November 14, 2019, is World Diabetes Day. JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) has prepared informative posters that will be displayed in our hallways to help raise awareness. SBN is encouraged to wear blue on World Diabetes Day, November 14 to show our support of those living with T1D.
Please remember that the Drop and Go is not intended for parking or stopping. This area is designated for drivers to pull in, unload safely, and drive through. Drivers who wish to leave their vehicles and accompany children to the playground or kindergarten pen are reminded to use on-street parking, where appropriate.
Once again, the YCDSB community puts faith into action, reaching out to support those in the Bahamas whose lives have been affected by Hurricane Dorian. Following devastating winds in excess of 290km/hr, the situation remains grave for thousands of injured and displaced families.
