Students brought awareness to our “differences”, and celebrated them, by wearing different socks.
Students drummed to the tune of 90 drums during a Baba Williams presentation about Community, kindness and love for self and neighbour.
Bully Prevention Week: Students engaged in many meaningful activities related “one” in community. They were educated about the 4 kinds of bullying and about our school rules, code or conduct and policy about Bullying. The week of activities led up to a Presentation from motivational speaker Baba Williams.
Healthy eating and nutrition are connected with mental health and well-being and promote academic success. The York Catholic District School Board supports the Ministry of Education’s Food and Beverage Policy and promotes healthy school nutrition environments.
Stewardship provides positive effects on Mental Health and Well-being. When we give of our time and talents to help others in need, we are doing God’s work. This act of generosity produces oxytocin in our brain causing feel-good endorphins.
