Students from K – 8 at St. Catherine of Siena will be participating in the Caring Concerts presentation with singer-songwriter Errol Lee on Thursday, February 13, 2020. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend!
Errol Lee’s Caring Concerts are multi-sensory presentations that use music, movement, media and visual communication strategies to provide audiences with an opportunity to sing along to the songs, dance to the music while encouraging mutual caring and community. Errol’s ability to captivate and motivate audiences of all ages transcends the cool barrier, fosters pervasive caring and effectively affirms his belief that each person is uniquely and inherently valuable.
Friendship Promise (JK/SK-GR 3) In this concert presentation, children, learn that friendship means using their words and actions to show caring, respect and inclusion.
The HERO Club (GR 4-6) In the book, The HERO Club, written by Errol Lee, kids learn to be confident in their abilities to prevent bullying and the importance of being an upstander. This book will have kids believing, it’s cool to care and show them the power of using words like “Are you ok?” “Can I help?” “Do you want to talk about it?” (Includes two storybooks for the school’s library. The HERO Club and The HERO Club Buddy Bench)
Caring and Kindness (GR 7-8) This concert presentation fosters pervasive caring to help students show concern and sympathy for others because kindness is showing others they are valuable by how you treat them.
