Purple Day at St. David

Thursday, September 25th was Rowan’s Law Day.  Students learned how to prevent,  identify and manage concussions and wore purple since that was Rowan’s favorite colour.  By bringing a toonie or loonie, we raised $230 to help the victims of hurricane Dorian.

On our Wednesday, September 18th meeting, nominations for the 2019-2020 Catholic School Council were presented. The results are as follows:

St. David’s Milk Bag Program completes their 33rd Large Mat

Our Eco team Leaders work during lunch recess on this social-justice and eco-friendly project. The mats created at St. David are shipped to developing countries to help families who do not have a bed to sleep on. St. David’s Eco Team Awarded 3rd Place in Vaughan’s Earth Hour Banner Competition

Our EcoTeam worked diligently on a beautiful banner to convey the message: “Let’s Plan to Reverse the Destruction and Move Forward to Restoration”.   On March 30th, during the Earth Hour celebration, our banner won third place.  Councillor Marylin Iafrate and MP Debt Schultz presented the plaque and $100 cheque to our team representatives.
