What’s Up @ SGA September 16th -20th and Beyond!:

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s):

Thank you all for a successful beginning to a new school year. It’s been busy but wonderful to see everyone after the summer. Please note that the SGA newsletter will be out this coming week with a great deal of information. In the meantime, here is a summary of events scheduled for the upcoming week at SGA:

Tuesday, September 17th:  Pace testing begins for students in Grade 4. This consists of approximately 3 80 minute blocks spread out throughout the week. Arrangements have been made for students in the split classes.

Wednesday, September 18th:  Curriculum Night from 7pm-8pm. Like last year, the format will be an Open House/drop in.  Looking forward to seeing you all then.

Thursday, September 19th: We Day – selected Grade 8 students accompanied by 2 staff members will participate in We Day downtown at the ACC.

Looking Ahead:

September 23rd – PA day – no school for students

September 24th-27th: Safety Awareness Week (more information will be provided in the newsletter)

September 25th: CSC Elections ( see attached:  School Council Candidacy Form 2019 nomination form also to be attached to newsletter)

September 30th: Orange Shirt Day and Immunizations for Gr. 7 students

Terry Fox Walk is scheduled for Oct. 3rd.

Thank you to those who have ordered the 2018-2019 Yearbook either online or by cheque.  It should be delivered in October.
