On Friday, October 21st our cross country team ended their run for this season competing in the Regional Meet at Bruce’s Mill. Ten students from our team of 66, qualified for the final meet. Conditions were probably the most unfavourable in recent years: cold, rain, wind….and mud! This weather did not faze our dedicated and determined students:
A Rube Goldberg machine is a contraption, invention, device, or apparatus that is deliberately over-engineered to perform a simple task in a complicated fashion, generally including a chain reaction. Our grade 8s recently had a chance to make their own machine out of everyday materials as a culminating task on their unit on structures.
Our school garden has begun it’s transformation. Stay tuned for updates!
