Clubs & Councils

Luke 4:18 Social Justice Committee

Throughout the year, the Luke 4:18 Social Justice Committee will be looking for ways to support the St. Julia school community and to help make a difference in the lives of others.

Environmental Club

Our Eco Committee has put forth positive environmental initiatives such as reducing our use of disposable water bottles, having “Litterless Lunch Mondays” and championing “Boomerang Lunch Wednesdays”.

Peer Mediators

Our grade six students are participating in a Peer Mediation Program during recess lunch in the primary yard. To prepare for this opportunity, they participated in two training sessions. Each day in the primary yard during lunch recess, four grade six students will be encouraging and modeling positive play and appropriate behaviour.
This program offers a wonderful opportunity for the grade six students to demonstrate leadership, initiative and collaboration.

Yearbook Committee

Our St. Julia Billiart Yearbook Committee, consisting of Intermediate students, is busy collecting pictures for our upcoming yearbook.

Speedstacking

Once again this year, our students strived to break the Guinness World Record for “Most People Sport Stacking at Multiple Locations in One Day”!

Chess Club

Checkmate! A catch-word echoing throughout the school as interested students from Grade 4—8 participate in the St. Julia Chess Club.

Robotics Club

We are very excited for our Grade 7 and 8 students who have shown an interest in the Lego Robotics Club! Students participate in sharing their talents and interest in the Lego Robotics Club.
