On Friday October 21, we were pleased to have Hometown Hockey come and visit our school. It was an afternoon filled with fun and excitement with a visit from Hank the mascot and a presentation from Paz and his Hockey Circus Show. We had special visitors that included Theresa McNicol our Trustee, Frances Bagley our Associate Director, Opiyo Oloya our Superintendent of Education, Fr. Efren Alvarez-Palayo from St. John Chrysostom Catholic Church, Jane Twinney, Councilor from the Town of Newmarket, John Bartlett ,the Voice of the Montreal Canadians and Sheri Rowe from Hometown Hockey to name a few. Thank You to Hometown Hockey, the Town of Newmarket and the many dignitaries that came and made our day even more special.
In addition to this great afternoon our students ran a food drive for the Newmarket Food Bank. Over eight hockey bags were filled with food. Well done!
