First Day Procedures & Important School Information

Welcome Back!

Welcome to both the returning students, their families and to those of you who are new to our St. Raphael the Archangel community. My name is Lucy Parmigiano and I am blessed to be joining the St. Raphael the Archangel school community. I look forward to a positive and productive year as we strive to do our best, grow, and learn with Jesus as our role model. I welcome this opportunity to work with you and your children. Please introduce yourself and say hello when you see me outside.

First Day of School & Class Assignments

The first day of classes is Tuesday, September 4th. Supervision begins at 8:35 a.m. Students should go directly to their respective areas of the schoolyard where teachers will greet them and share class lists.  Teacher names and grades will be posted on the outside walls of our playground at 8:35 a.m.  Please do not enter the building as classes will be assembled outdoors.   Grade 1-3 (yard, facing the main parking lot); Gr.4-6 (lines facing the portable); Gr. 7 & 8 (closest to K loop);  FDK students go to the kindergarten yard.

Many staff members will be assisting students.  If help is needed, please report to the office.

Please note, the first day of school is very busy for teachers and it is not the ideal time to have lengthy conversations with your child’s new teacher. Please communicate any important information in writing addressed to your child’s new teacher.

We thank you for your cooperation with this matter.

If it rains,

• Gr.1-4 students will be directed to the gym.  Primary parents may choose to accompany his/her child into the gym but should leave after locating his/her child’s new teacher.

• Gr. 5-8 students will be directed to the second floor to locate their class.  Parents kindly remain, outdoors – for safety reasons.

  •  FDK  students will go directly to their classroom via the FDK yard.

We always pray for good weather!
