Memorial to the victims of the Montreal Massacre – Dec. 6

This year marks 30 years since the deadly massacre at École Polytechnique in Montreal.

On Dec. 6, 1989, 14 women were killed by a gunman in an act against feminism.  These women were targeted because they were women studying engineering or the sciences; they were studying what they loved.

Still today, the École Polytechnique massacre is considered the deadliest mass shooting in Canadian history.  This tragic event started an important conversation about violence against women.  Stop the violence against women and girls.

Spread kindness, not hate.
