As we anticipate a potential job action from CUPE members beginning Monday, September 30, I want to inform you that during any CUPE job action, I will be responding to all visitors/students using the buzzer to gain access to the school (i.e. school board personnel, late arrivals).
As such, there may be a delay in response times, but the doors will remain locked as per our Safe School Policy and as a continued practice here at St. Luke. We ask your patience and co-operation as we make our best efforts to minimize disruption. Be advised that the main entrance doors lock at 8:30 a.m. and the side entrance (St. Luke access) will lock at 9:30 a.m.
To avoid wait times, please encourage your son/daughter to be ready on time for his/her pre-arranged transportation to school everyday. This will certainly alleviate any unnecessary frustration in having to wait at the main entrance. If your son/daughter is going to be late for school, please let us know before 9:30 a.m.
If there is any impact on regular school operations as a result of a job action, parents will be notified by the following methods:
School Messenger (please ensure that your school has up-to-date telephone numbers and email addresses for your family)
Twitter (follow @ycdsb and @stlukeycdsb)
YCDSB website www.ycdsb.ca (see link under What’s New) and the school website
Thank you for your cooperation and understanding.
