During the month of November we remember our fallen soldiers and pay tribute to the veterans who served and are still with us today. As we mark Remembrance Day, it is important that we reflect on their sacrifice. School Remembrance Day ceremonies and activities are an opportunity to teach students to appreciate the many sacrifices of those who have fought, died, and served for our country. Together let us pray for peace, freedom and tolerance. Lest we forget.
I would like to highlight a few upcoming events:
St Joan of Arc Catholic High School Open House
Parents of Grade 8 students are invited to attend the St. Joan of Arc Catholic High School Open House on Tuesday, November 21st, 2016 at 7:00 p.m.
Information on both the Regular Program and the Advanced Placement Program will be provided. This is an excellent opportunity to tour the school, learn about the program offerings at St. Joan of Arc CHS and speak to staff and students.
Sunday, November 12th, is the annual Santafest Parade in Maple. I am looking forward to seeing our schools participate in this wonderful event. The parade begins at 2:00 p.m. and starts at Canada’s Wonderland on Major Mackenzie and Jane Street and travels east along Major Mackenzie to Keele Street. For more information, visit www.santafestinmaple.com. Please come out and enjoy the parade.
May the Holy Spirit guide your children, and may they always feel the Lord’s constant love.
As always, you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 905.832-4562.
