Will HP athletes have to re-apply each year?
No! Once your child is granted admission to the program, they will retain their enrolment until such time they no longer require a flexible schedule, graduate, or fail to maintain the program requirements as outlined herein. In February, each HPA student will be required to complete the Coach’s Reference Form to maintain their standing in the program for the following school year.
Can HP athletes participate in their primary sport?
Yes! If the High Performer Athlete resides within the school’s boundary they are permitted to play their primary sport.
Beginning in 2026-27, all HPA students are ineligible to participate in their primary sport for YRAA sports. These students can play any other sport or participate in tournament teams that compete outside of the YRAA.
Will transportation be provided to HP athletes?
Yes! Transportation will be provided to students who live within the school’s boundaries as per YCDSB Transportation policy. Families who reside outside the school’s boundaries and/or students on a modified timetable are responsible for transportation to and from Holy Cross Catholic Academy.
