This year marks a historic milestone for the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB), as we celebrate our 50th Anniversary. For five decades, our Board has provided Catholic Education to generations of children and become an integral part of communities in York Region. We have grown from our humble beginnings to now encompassing 101 schools serving over 53,000 students and employing over 8000 people. This development is a testament to decades of commitment from our students, their parents/guardians and the staff of our Board to Catholic Education.

Over the course of 2019, our Board will mark this incredible milestone through several events and initiatives. We will formally mark our 50th Anniversary of Tuesday, May 7, with a special Mass celebrated by His Eminence Thomas Cardinal Collins, Archbishop of Toronto and Honorary Chair of the YCDSB and will be followed by a Gala Dinner. In addition to the events on May 7, a number of other special projects have been commissioned to coincide with this important milestone.

Please remember to regularly visit our 50th Anniversary website for the latest news on events and to see photos and videos that commemorate our history.
