Student Health & Wellness     

International student health insurance coverage is provided by StudyInsured™. The International Department coordinates enrolment of health care coverage for international students, and the cost for this insurance program is included in annual fees. 

As of September 2025, we will expand our partnership with StudyInsured™  to include flexible, comprehensive support for individuals navigating mental health challenges such as stress, anxiety, and external pressures. Access to fully qualified counselors is available 24/7 in over 100 languages, can be accessed through video chat or instant messaging via the app, and is confidential and private.

YCDSB’s Mental Health Department is also instrumental in providing valuable resources to students who struggle. Their Mental Health Resources list is comprehensive and frequently updated.

In all of our schools, Administrators are committed to supporting students in their academic and personal growth. They are available to listen, guide, and help students navigate challenges that may arise throughout the school year. In our high schools, students also have access to dedicated Guidance Counsellors who offer academic advice, course selection assistance, and pathways planning to help each student reach their post-secondary goals. Additionally, school Chaplains are present to provide spiritual direction and emotional support, fostering a sense of belonging and well-being rooted in compassion, faith, and care for the whole person.
