York Catholic alumni honoured by MACCA

The Markham African Caribbean Canadian Association (MACCA) honoured several York Catholic alumni at its annual Scholarship Ball and Gala Dinner, which took place this fall.

The York Catholic District School Board thanks MACCA for supporting student achievement over the past 27 years, and congratulates the following scholarship award winners.

Shae-Lynn Chung, alumni of St Augustine Catholic High School. Shae-Lynn is currently enrolled at the University of Toronto in the Arts and Sciences/Social Services, Criminology Program. Shae-Lynn received a York Region Police Award

Jazmine Hinds, alumni of Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy. She is currently enrolled at McMaster University in the Medical Radiation Sciences Program. Jazmine received the Dr. Shivani Sharma Award.

Chelsey Edwards, alumni of St. Brother Andre Catholic High School. She is currently enrolled at the University of Guelph in the Criminal Justice and Public Policy Program. Chelsey received the York Catholic District School Board Award.

Gabrielle Fletcher, alumni of St. Brother Andre Catholic High School. She is currently enrolled in the Schulich School of Business at York University and is pursuing a degree in Business Administration. Gabrielle received the Chapel Ridge Scholarship Award.

Daniel Eastman, alumni of St. Robert Catholic High School. He is currently enrolled at Carleton University in the Engineering Physics Program. Daniel received the Nortown Air Award.

Summer Lewis, alumni of St. Robert Catholic High School. She is currently enrolled at Carleton University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice and Criminology. Summer received a York Region Police Award.
