Sacred Heart CHS supports Rose of Sharon services for young mothers

Earlier this fall, students at Sacred Heart Catholic High School in Newmarket raised over $1,200 in support of York Region’s Rose of Sharon Services for Young Mothers.

Rose of Sharon charity supports young women up to the age of 25 who are prenatal and/or a parent. Rose of Sharon serves over 600 young women and babies in York Region alone.

“It is only through the generous support of community members that we are able to offer the services we do,” says Leah Walker, Event and Volunteer Coordinator. “The $1,283.92 raised from Sacred Heart’s “Rose of Sharon Civies Day” will provide a year of healthy breakfast to the students in the high school program at Rose of Sharon. I extend a very sincere thank you to the Sacred Heart CHS Student Council and all the students who participated.”
