Holy Cross students help out at Santa’s Workshop

On Saturday December 13, 2014, Holy Cross Catholic Academy held its first ever Santa’s Workshop! Mr. Pasutto’s Grade 12 Leadership class was responsible for organizing the highly successful event. The event was held to raise money for needy families in our community, which is especially important as we prepare to celebrate Christmas. Santa’s workshop included face painting, ornament making, and Hot Chocolate stations, as well as opportunities to write letters to Santa, hear Christmas stories read by Holy Cross students, and of course, opportunities to have pictures taken with Santa himself. Over 200 people attended the event, which raised close to $400. Special thanks go out to all of our student and parent volunteers along with Tim Horton’s of Nobelton who provided the coffee and hot chocolate. We look forward to hosting another Santa’s workshop next year! Merry Christmas to all, from the Holy Cross Catholic Academy Community!
