As we come together on this All Saints Day,
we celebrate the holy women and men of every time and place.
We give thanks for the beautiful examples
set by the lives of the saints.
We open our hearts to the will of God
so that we may act in ways that reflect
love of God, love of others, and love of self.
We find comfort in recognizing that saints
are people who do ordinary things extraordinarily.
We reflect on the words of Pope Francis:
“It is by living with love and offering Christian witness
in our daily tasks that we are all called to become saints.”
We pray for the courage and the willingness
to follow in the footsteps of the saints, today and every day.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
