Elementary Program

Students in Grades 1 to 3 residing 1.2 km beyond the school and within the French Immersion transportation boundary will receive transportation. As well, students in grades 4 to 8, who live beyond 1.6 km and live within the French Immersion transportation boundary, will receive transportation. Students are required to walk a short distance to and from these centralized bus stops.

The bus route schedule for the program will be finalized the third week of August. Parents can access the information at www.schoolbuscity.com by selecting “stop information” and choosing the specific French Immersion School. At this site, you will be able to identify the nearest street corner/intersection to your home and confirm the pick up and drop off time for the designated bus stop.

Secondary Program

The Secondary French Immersion Program is a Regional Program of Choice at 4 secondary schools of the YCDSB. While participation in the program is open to students who qualify for the program, transportation is provided in accordance with the YCDSB student transportation policy.Transportation to the French Immersion site is therefore limited to those students residing within the transportation boundaries of the secondary school housing the French Immersion program.
