Healthy eating and nutrition are connected with mental health and well-being and promote academic success. The York Catholic District School Board supports the Ministry of Education’s Food and Beverage Policy and promotes healthy school nutrition environments.
Stewardship provides positive effects on Mental Health and Well-being. When we give of our time and talents to help others in need, we are doing God’s work. This act of generosity produces oxytocin in our brain causing feel-good endorphins.
Discover the physical, mental, and academic benefits when you choose to walk to school. Visit Ontario Active School Travel for more information on the benefits of active school travel and iWalk Month.
