Elementary Religious Education

Catholic schools are an extension of the pastoral and evangelizing mission of the Church and a most important place for human and Christian formation. At YCDSB, our Elementary Religious Education program not only promotes religious knowledge and skills but also invites students to deepen their relationship with God and their life of Christian faith. Students are provided opportunities to relate their knowledge and skills to everyday life, and are encouraged to participate in the essential mission of the Church. Teachers create inclusive places of learning that invite and enable each student to become joyful disciples of Jesus; to grow fully to be all that God knows and hopes them to be.
