Joining YCDSB from within Ontario
Students new to YCDSB, registering for Grade 9 to 12 must register here.
Grade 8 students interested in applying to specialty programs for Grade 9 must complete the registration form AND the application to each specialty program they wish to apply to.
Admission Criteria (9–12)
Subject to the provisions of the Education Act, all persons having the right of attendance shall be admitted to York Region Catholic secondary schools.
Please review Admissions Policy 226B for detailed information.
The parent/guardian must provide the following original documents for each child to be considered for admission:
- Proof of Age
- Proof of Status in Canada

Proof of Residency – 2 documents required:
- One document from the following: Property Tax Bill, Home Proof of Purchase, or Lease/Rental Agreement
- One document from the following: Utility Bill, Landline phone bill, or another acceptable document (driver’s license is not acceptable)
- If eligible, designate separate school support and/or provide proof of separate school support
- Commitment to participate through the courts of Ontario (for those students under 18 years of age who are not residing with a parent)
- Proof of guardianship through the courts of Ontario (for those students under 18 years of age who are not residing with a parent)

St. Theresa of Lisieux Catholic High School is a capped school, consequently, a different registration procedure is required. Please visit the school website for information on the criteria and process of admission which is posted at the end of October.

St. Robert Catholic High School is also a capped school, for which registration is contingent on the school enrolment capacity being reached. Please submit an online registration and you will be informed if the capacity limit has been exceeded.

St. Augustine Catholic High School is a capped school which has reached capacity for the 2025-2026 school year. Students residing within the St. Augustine attendance area may register at St. Brother Andre Catholic High School via our online registration form.

Students new to Ontario registering for Grade 9 to 12, please proceed with the following steps:
