St. Brother André CHS

St. Brother André CHS

Open the Door. Let in the Light.

Saint Brother André Catholic High School opened in 1985 in Markham with 212 students and 15 staff under Principal Blair Day. Rapid growth led to the opening of the permanent building in 1988, and the school was blessed by Cardinal Carter in 1989.

Named after Saint Brother André, canonized in 2010, the school honours his legacy of faith and service.

Home of the Cardinals, with colours red, blue, and gold, the school’s motto “In lumine tuo” (“In your light we see light”) reflects its mission to educate students in a Christ-centred environment that fosters excellence in academics, athletics, and character.
