Today we celebrate the Feasts of Saints Gabriel, Raphael and Michael. St. Gabriel is the patron of St. Gabriel the Archangel CES in Woodbridge and St. Raphael is the patron of St. Raphael the Archangel in Maple. St. Michael is the patron of St. Michael Catholic Academy in Thornhill and St. Michael the Archangel CES in Woodbridge.
Gabriel brought messages to God’s people about the coming of the Messiah, as promised by God. Gabriel appeared to Mary in Nazareth, telling her that she was chosen by God to give birth to our Saviour, Jesus Christ.
Raphael is the patron saint of young people, shepherds, people who are ill, and travelers.
Michael is known as both a protector of the Church and as a healer. The archangels inspire us to spread messages of goodness and respect both about ourselves and about other people. OCGE 4

In honour of St. Gabriel’s visit to our blessed mother let us say together:
Hail Mary, full of grace, The Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
