Every year, one of the most joyful times of the year at the York Catholic District School Board’s (YCDSB) Catholic Education Centre in Aurora, Ont., is when the annual Christmas Card Contest entries start arriving.
Every year, dozens of incredibly talented students in grades 6-8 submit beautiful handmade pictures in the hopes that their work will be featured on the YCDSB’s Christmas Card. And every year, it is very difficult to choose the winners out of such amazing artwork.
We are happy to announce this year’s winners, whose artwork will be featured on the official YCDSB Christmas Card:

- Matthew R., Grade 8, St. Margaret Mary CES

In light of the ongoing Canada Post strike, the YCDSB will create a digital Christmas card so that many can enjoy Sophia and Matthew’s artwork this Christmas season.
To all the students who submitted pictures for the Christmas Card Contest, please know that your artwork brought much joy and Christmas spirit to us at the YCDSB. We are grateful for your work and we encourage you to continue making your beautiful art in the future.
We hope the coming Advent season is a time of hopeful expectation for everyone in the York Catholic District School Board.
