In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit,
Amen.

Today is the Feast of the Presentation of Mary.  A story recounts that Mary’s parents brought their daughter to the temple to offer her to God. This feast celebrates Mary as a temple where God lives.

Yesterday was the Feast of Christ the King, the final Sunday of the church  year, and the feast day of Christ the King CES  is in Richmond Hill.

The message of this Feast is simple.  “Our King is Christ!”  And this message is different from any other king’s message.  He didn’t come with weapons or with power but simply as one of us.  He was a king who became as ordinary as you and me.
Advent will begin next Sunday, November 27th.

In the gospel of Luke it is written:
“Jesus said, ‘Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven; give and it will be given to you.’”  By simply being the best person you can be, you are loving others, loving God and loving yourself.
