Today is the Feast of St. Andrew,  who was a disciple of St. John the Baptist.  Andrew told his brother Simon Peter that he had found the Messiah.  Andrew was among the Twelve Apostles Jesus chose.  St. Andrew CES is in Vaughan.

On this last day of the month, let us reflect on what it means to be a responsible citizen. As we pray each line of this litany of service, please respond, [Let us walk in your ways.]

Dear God,

You taught us to care for each other … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to be responsible citizens … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to seek forgiveness … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to grant forgiveness … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to protect the value of life …[Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to be peaceful … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to be just … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to be compassionate … [Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to care for the gift of our environment and all

creation….[ Let us walk in your ways.]

You taught us to respect one another … [Let us walk in your ways.] OCGE7

We conclude with the Advent prayer:

God’s hope to direct me.

God’s love to surround me.

God’s joy to warm me.

God’s peace to comfort me.

Bless our Advent journey to Christmas with light and patience.

Amen.

We close in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit

Amen.
