Tomorrow is the feast day of St. Teresa of Avila. She is known for her leadership abilities and her great devotion to God.
Here is a simple prayer of St Teresa of Avila that can be a source of calm on a difficult day.

Let nothing disturb you,
Let nothing frighten you,
All things are passing away:
God never changes.
Patience obtains all things
Whoever has God lacks nothing;
God alone suffices.

Sunday is the Feast Day of St. Marguerite D’Youville.  She is the first native-born Canadian to have become a saint.  She is the patron of St.Marguerite D’Youville CES in Richmond Hill.

Today let us listen to a reading from Mark’s Gospel, in which we hear about Jesus’ great love for children.

A reading from the Holy Gospel according to Mark.  (Mark 10:13-16)
Response:  Glory to you, O Lord.
People were bringing little children to Jesus in order that he might touch them; and the disciples spoke sternly to them.
But when Jesus saw this, he was indignant and said to them, “Let the little children come to me; do not stop them; for it is to such as these that the kingdom of God belongs.  Truly I tell you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will never enter it.”
And Jesus took the children up in his arms, laid his hands on them, and blessed them.
The Gospel of the Lord  Response:  Praise to you, Lord Jesus Christ.

We close with our prayer to Mary:

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with you.
Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, Pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.  Amen.

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.  Amen.
